" identity crisis - if war and peace met accidentially "
That´s my second comic strip. Technically it´s Quite simple, but the thought behind it is quite complex... We were discussing the term "peace" in politics lesson today. I had several arguments with my classmates and even with my teacher. It sometimes even became a bit impolite, but still funny...
Is peace really the absence of war? What about the terms "negative peace" and "positive peace"? "Negative peace" means that there´s no war. However that does not mean that people live in peace. Just have a look at segregation or unequalities between the sexes. "Positive peace" means a total absence of structural violence in any sense: The guarantee of peace, rights and equality.
I hope you like this little conversation...
I have to say that war isn´t that polite. I like peace better. It´s friendly.
I love it! I would say though that neither is the absence of the other, in that it is possible to have neither peace nor war; that peace is greater than the absence of war. (And war is the pursuit of conflict against an enemy, so it isn't the absence of peace...)

I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P

I cried because I had no shoes.
Then I met a man who had no class.
I hope and pray that there are more people like you and that one other classmate than there happen to be in your class.
It reminds me of the Christmas song that John Lennon and Yoko Ono recorded so very long ago:
--
I cried because I had no shoes.
Then I met a man who had no class.
but it's also very ironic, is it really always peaceful if there is no war?

I found an island in your arms,
A country in your eyes,
Arms that chained us, eyes that lied.
Break on through to the other side.
Awesome....and deep!
